Local activity farms are great places to go with the children but for many of them, you may need to book. We have 4 local farms to choose from:

1. Thrift Farm Half Term Pumpkin Hocus Pocus

23 – 31 October

FREE Pumpkin per paying child, while stocks lost

£7.95 per child, wearing your spookiest and most magical fancy dress!

Carve – your Pumpkin in the undercover marquee.

Make a Magic Wand – Use natural twigs, wool and ribbon to craft your wand,

Follow Thrifty’s Pumpkin Trail – Find Thrifty’s lost Halloween pumpkins and claim your sweet treat. say hello to his scarecrow friends

Food 4 Thought Café / Shepherd’s Hut – Tasty Treats & Delicious Coffee, open to non-farm park visitors

Outdoor Play Area, Daily Petting Sessions, Farm Yard Trail, quad bikes, panning for gold and more adorable animals than ever before.

2. Green Dragon Eco Farm Spooky Family Fun

23-31 October

Prices – Under 2s free, 2-15, 65+ & carer for disabled £10.50, 1- 64 – £11.50

Play – 44 acre site, outside play area, go-karts, bouncy pillows, soft play.

Animals – farm animals, pet corner, wildlife zone and nature trail,

Activities – pumpkin picking, spooky slime making workshop

Barn Café – hot food, drinks, light snacks

3. Mead Open Farm Pumpkin Spooktacular!

Daily 23-31 October

Every paying child gets a FREE pumpkin with entry

Includes:

Pumpkin Patch  – choose your pumpkin and carve it!

Spooktacular Haunts – undercover Hallowe’en attractions. Scary Tales where you help Little Red Riding Hood find her way to Grandma’s house. Twists and turns at Mr Topper’s Twister. Ghosts and ghouls in the Haunted House.

Fairy Tale Villains Trail – solve riddles to find the lost villains in the Fairy Tale Villains Trail.

Tiny Terrors Tractor Ride – Tractor Ride with lots of little boos especially for toddlers!

4. Rookery Open Farm

No specific Hallowe’en activities are listed but some great activities for the younger ones, all the same.

Adults £7.00, children £6.50, senior citizens £6.50 prices per person. Under 2s free

No dogs except guide dogs.

Some activities may be seasonal but you’ll find

Animals – large pets corner, water-fowl area, pigmy goats, baby calves incubator hatching

Play – miniature tractors, outdoor play area, outdoor and undercover sand pits, go-carts, 

Half-term Opening – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and weekends  10am-5pm, last entry 4pm. Closed Tuesday
