Local National Trust Events In Bucks and South Northants
The National Trust Events in properties around Bucks and South Northants have started up again bringing interesting and exciting things to do locally.
There’s Easter fun for all the family, including trails, crafts and more. You’ll find nature activities, history and shopping experiences. For the adults Rothschild wine tasting and dinner parties, while the Sunday lunches are a great choice for the whole family. Take a look at the choices:
Boarstall Duck Decoy
Easter Adventures in Nature
Date and Times: 11am-5pm, last entry 4pm, 15-18 April
Tickets: £3 per child, including a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.
This spring, treat your little ones to a world of adventures at Boarstall Duck Decoy on the Easter adventures on the nature trail. Make your way along the trail, finding nature-inspired activities for the whole family.
Stowe House Events
World Autism Awareness Day

Stowe is supporting Autism Awareness Day on Saturday 2 April, by having a relaxed opening at 9 am for the first hour of the day.
Reuse Pop-Up Shop

Come along, pick up a bargain and take part in the reuse revolution taking over Buckinghamshire. FCC Environment is hosting a pop-up shop at Stowe to raise funds for South Bucks Hospice.
Wild Wednesday
Times and Dates: 10am-12:30pm and 1pm-3:30pm, 13 and 20 April(2 sessions each day)
These Easter craft workshops are recommended for children aged 3-8, with adult supervision. There will be a variety of Easter crafts to choose from over the four sessions.
Easter Adventures in Nature

West Wycombe Park
Dates and times: Grounds reopen on 3 April (Sunday to Thursday 2-5 pm), the house opens on 1 June
West Wycombe Park is one of the most theatrical of English country houses and has been in the Dashwood family for more than 300 years. The Italianate mansion is set in 45 acres of landscaped park with a lake at its centre – perfect for a wander.
Normal admission applies, sorry, no dogs in the park, but they are welcome under close control in the village and on West Wycombe Hill.

Nature Detectives: All about birds

Are you a wise owl, or a silly goose? Pick up an activity trail from visitor reception for no extra charge, and become a bird expert.
Plant a Sunflower
Times and Dates: 11 am – 2 pm, Thursday 28 April – Tuesday 3 May
Tickets: £1 per sunflower (admission applies)
Plant a sunflower seedling in a compostable pot to take home and grow. Keep in touch with us online and let us know how high it grows. You can plant your sunflower outside in the ground, or in a bigger pot. Come back later in the summer to see how big our sunflowers in the garden are getting.

Wine Cellar Visit and Tasting

Wine has always been a focal point at Waddesdon. During your visit, enjoy a short tour of the atmospheric cellars, which house over 15,000 bottles of Rothschild wine, and a two-wine tasting guided by Waddesdon’s wine experts. After your tour and tasting, you’ll be able to purchase the wines you’ve tasted in the shop and your ticket will entitle you to a 10% discount on the day.
