Moorgate Farm's Free Range KellyBronze Turkey

Moorgate Farm’s Tasting Days Are Back

Moorgate Farm’s tasting days are back so head to Potterspury this November to try some of the best in artisan producers.

10am – 2.25pm, Sunday, 14 November

10am – 2.25pm, Sunday, 21 November

Since August this year, major suppliers have warned of turkey shortages. There is no better reason to buy early and stay local! Moorgate Farm is not just about being local. The team behind the birds truly cares about how they nurture their birds from day one. Not only that, a lack of carbon dioxide is not an issue as they do not use anything to extend the life of their turkey meat.

Of course, there is more to the tasting days than turkey, enjoy the full range of produce from local and slightly further afield artisan suppliers.

About Moorgate Farm

I grew up in the Yorkshire Dales living on the family farm. Since this times I have always strived to protect and educate all generations on where their food comes from and how it is produced. I have built a reputation far and wide for our KellyBronze turkeys.

Our aim is to help educate the younger generation on where their food comes from and how it is produced. With grandchildren living in Dover, when they then come to visit we always encourage them to get involved in all aspects of turkey rearing. They, too, can benefit from the farming lifestyle and hopefully carry it into the future.

It is local people who help with plucking and preparing the turkeys at Christmas and all the turkeys are sold through the farm shop, with many customers returning each year.

Along with this it is now five years since we started delivering vegetable and fruit boxes filled with local fresh produce. We ensure that all our clients have access to the fresh produce while supporting local farms.

Join Susan in supporting local and giving our local communities access to more and more local produces.
